Town of Burgaw Job Alerts

These terms apply to Town of Burgaw's optional SMS Job Alert service sent from +1 (877) 724-2151.

1. Program description

The Town of Burgaw Job Alerts program sends informational recruitment notices about public Town job postings. Depending on the preferences a subscriber selects, messages may announce a new posting, a material public-facing update to an existing posting, or the closure of a posting.

2. Voluntary enrollment and consent

SMS enrollment is voluntary and separate from applying for employment. By selecting SMS, entering a mobile number, accepting the SMS disclosure, and completing the verification step, the subscriber consents to receive recurring automated Town of Burgaw Job Alert text messages at the number provided. Consent to SMS is not a condition of submitting an employment application or receiving employment consideration from the Town.

3. Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on Town hiring activity and the subscriber's selected departments, approved job titles, or all-jobs preference. Message and data rates may apply according to the subscriber's wireless plan.

4. Opt out

Reply STOP to stop SMS messages from this program. Azure Communication Services and participating carriers may automatically enforce SMS opt-out requests. A subscriber may also use the secure Manage Preferences or Unsubscribe links provided by the Job Alerts service. Stopping SMS does not automatically stop separately requested email job alerts; email preferences can be changed through Manage Preferences or the all-channel unsubscribe option.

6. Delivery

Wireless carriers and other network providers are not controlled by Town of Burgaw. Delivery may be delayed or unavailable because of carrier filtering, network conditions, device settings, or other circumstances outside the Town's control. The Town does not guarantee delivery of every SMS alert.

7. Content and employment status

Job Alert messages are a convenience and do not replace the official posting at the Town's jobs website. A text message does not create an employment contract, guarantee that a position remains open, or extend a closing deadline. The official public posting controls.

8. Privacy and use of mobile information

The Town uses mobile numbers and SMS consent information only to administer the Job Alerts program, support subscribers, maintain compliance and audit records, and deliver requested messages. The Town does not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent information and does not share them with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing. Service providers such as Microsoft Azure Communication Services and telecommunications carriers may process information as necessary to deliver and protect the service. 9. Public records and records retention

Town of Burgaw is a North Carolina local government. Records maintained in connection with this program may be subject to applicable North Carolina public-records and records-retention laws, including any applicable exemptions or special rules for subscriber lists. Consent, verification, delivery, and opt-out records may be retained in accordance with Town records schedules, legal requirements, and messaging-compliance needs.

10. Changes to the program

The Town may modify or discontinue the Job Alerts program, these terms, or available notification channels. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
